Queen of Procrastination

Wow! How terrible am I? I have the best of intentions when it comes to this blog of mine but I can't quite seem to get it together for long enough to actually put a post together. What's sad is the number of things that we have done since my last post and go figure, none of it has been documented!! I am going to have to work semi backwards since my pictures posted that way!! We are crazy busy at work right now. For those of you who don't know, we (Jon & I) both work for my Dad. Our business is a roofing business and we pretty much chase hail, hurricanes and wind storms to work with the insurance companies to repair the damage. I have been working these ridiculous hours lately and traveling much more than I would really like to. We have undergone some intense changes in the past few months to get better prepared for "storm season". I had hoped for a small breather but storm season came earlier than expected and we have opened 5 new locations in the past 2 weeks and it looks like we will get some more storms possibly this weekend. This means that Jon is out traveling too...makes working, having a Tball player and a 6 month old difficult some days. Jon & I did finally take a mini-vacation during February. We went to The Atlantis in the Bahamas. We had a blast but our trip was nowhere near long enough. We spent two full days traveling and two full days enjoying everything. We will be going back once Lucas is big enough to ride all the water slides (he needs to grow 1/2 inch more)! The views were beautiful and the weather was wonderful. My Lucas is getting so big! He is almost 7 years old and just about done with the 1st grade. We really lucked out this year again with his teacher. She happens to be the mom of some of my old friends from high school. He adores her. Lucas spends the majority of his time these days at ball practice, games or playing some handheld device! I sometimes wish I made him spend more time doing crafts, reading or things like that but he seems happy and secure enough just the way he is.
This super sweet little angel is Brooklynn Marie Haight. She belongs to my brother and sister-in-law, Ryan & Ashley. She was born 17 days after Braxton. She absolutely has the sweetest personality I've ever seen. She loves to cuddle and smile and coo...she is also a nosey little thing. About a month or so ago Ryan, Ashley & Brooklynn bought the house caddy-corner from us. I was a little apprehensive at first at having family so super close but I love it. However, they also work for Dad but they travel for months at a time. They left this week to go to Kansas City to work...who knows how long they will be gone but this sweet little angel girl is no longer in my backyard for my daily hugs & kisses. It makes an Aunt Gigi so sad!! (For the record, I'm only Aunt Gigi b/c when Rye was little he couldn't say my name and he reduced it to Gigi!)
This little guy, or rather big guy now, is Braxton Ray Seymore. He was born September 28th and came 2 months earlier than anticipated! He weighed in at a whopping 4lb 3oz's. He stayed for 18 days in the NICU before we got to bring him home. After our last few problematic pregnancies, I was so incredibly full of fear that we wouldn't get to bring him home with us. Lucky for us he did just fine and is now 6 months old and weighing in at 16lbs! I can't even put into words how much I love this sweet boy!
Lucas is the best big brother. Braxton started off looking just like Lucas did when he was a baby but has started to look more like me as he's getting bigger. He is a doll baby. He sleeps through the night, hardly ever fusses and loves attention!

I'm a lucky girl!
